JEAN MORRIS of the NEW YORK SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL (1947-2003)

Jean K. Morris was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia.  She was born on April 15, 1947 and died on June 26, 2003, her last residence in Astoria, Long Island.  Jean (below) at Matunuck, Rhode Island in 1997 in Tommy Brent's back yard.

Jean loved the Delacorte production of  "On the Town" with Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Jean at The Jolly Roger, our favorite East Village dive on 155 Second Avenue at 10th, at the window table.  L to R, Roy Fox, Terri Osborne, me, Jorge Boose, Jean Morris, Jordan Shapiro, and Jean's boss Alison Harper.   Bar unfortunately turned yuppie with new name "Thirsty Scholar" so we had to move.

Jean loved word games, and the employees of the Festival were often the subject of her hilarious constructions, in her lovely handwriting.

Her obit.
