1976 ATLANTA GAZETTE RESTAURANT GUIDE -- COMPLETE

The Atlanta Gazette was a weekly tabloid, superior to its older sibling CL.

Courtesy the Stewart Grant Collection, here is the complete 1976 Gazette restaurant guide.  Of the 101 restaurants that they list, only nine have survived to 2015-- Alfredo's, Golden Buddha, Henri's, The Majestic, Manuel's Tavern, Mary Mac's, The Mellow Mushroom, Petite Auberge, and Steak n' Shake.  One of the greats they include--  Dante's Down the Hatch-- bit the dust last year.

Many Atlanta restaurants of old are not among the 101, among them two major survivors, The Colonnade and the Varsity.   Here is a list of others omitted.
